It's reversible and comes in different designs. It does come with a carrying case but we keep in mainly in the same spot all the time but have moved it from room to room and brought it to my parents' house once. I have noticed a scratch (I am about 99.9% sure it was from one of our dogs) and it's hard to say how durable it will be as my son gets older but for now we really like it. It seemed fine at first, but now that we've been using it for a few months, the letters/numbers/borders keep lifting or she will pull them out. Having to straighten it up and put the pieces back in everyday is starting to get annoying. </p> <p>Does anyone know where I can find a foam floor mat that is in 1 piece and can be rolled up for easier storage? I could have sworn I saw one in a Toys R Us ad awhile back, but I didn't see anything on the website when I looked just now. I've also checked Amazon and didn't see anything on there either. Thank you! </p>
