It's basically a cute little beach chair. Before the umbilical cord fell off, we sat the chair on the kitchen counter and just gave her a quick wipe down. After the cord fell off (day 10), we put the chair in the tub. I would have been hesitant to buy it but we borrowed my sister's...and it worked out great!
