DH gets the service for free through his job. I only had to use it once, but the sitter needed to be available for several days. Moms groups would post about a cousin or whatever who was looking to babysit. And since I found 2 there they have recommended their friends so I have a whole network of possible sitters. We have one we use almost every Saturday but if she's not free I have 3-4 more I can ask and someone usually is.</p> <p>ETA: I was really in a bind about a month ago when all of my usuals were away for Labor Day. So I used chime by sittercity very last minute and was very happy with her.
