It was a reject for Ramona and Beatrice's little sister's name. We had zero girl names for a host of reasons, and we just knew that was it. But no one can spell it. Ha ha. I usually took it as a polite way of asking "why did you choose that name over something more common"? or they want to know if we named her after one of many fictional characters :P I just told them our process. Her name seems to be gaining in popularity now, so I don't think I would hear it as much now! Our son has a very unusual name. We first heard it years ago, it was the name of the singer of a band we liked. The band came on shuffle while I was pregnant before we knew what we were having and we both said to each other, "that's actually a cool name!" But I don't want to tell people that every time, nor do we want people to think he's named after this person with the same name. Luckily LOs middle name is DHs grandfathers name.
