LO will be 3 in September, but he's been using it for the last year. It looks ridiculously big on him, but we figured we'd just carry it in and out. He wanted to wear it starting about 9 months ago, and it's hilariously big on him, but he loves it and has no issues walking with it. I bought a regular kid sized backpack (not the smaller kid size) and I was glad I did! In the winter it was actually pretty full with snow pants, hat, mittens and shoes for gym. LO has been using it for the last year and I don't see any wear and tear on it at all. They're on Amazon for under 20 bucks, too. </p> <p>Our preschool has a change of clothes in a separate bin, so you don't leave it in your kid's backpack. The Skip Hop backpack has a pocket on the side for a water bottle. Crafts/art projects are still usually a little wet when we come for pick up, so they don't end up in the backpack for the walk out to the car. I think all she has to fit in the bag is a complete change of clothes, maybe her water, and any crafts to bring home. </p>
