Thankfully, Bambam doesn't have any health or behavior issues, but typical to little dogs purchased in malls, where they always advertise that they will be "teacup" dogs (no such things exists in the Chihuahua breed!) he is much larger than the breed standard (he hovers around 9 lbs) and since Lucy is from a breeder, she is more of the breed standard at 4 lbs. The first picture is of our two cats, Autumn (Calico) and Roo (Orange domestic shorthair). Roo was a stray that turned up at our apartment with burns on one side, a broken leg, and singed whiskers. She's been with us for almost five years now. Autumn was adopted from the humane society.</p> <p>The second picture is of our dog Bea. She was adopted from the humane society and she's eight years old. We purposefully wanted to adopt an older dog because they aren't wanted as much. They look like designer dogs so people always ask what breeds they are. We just say they are Humane Society Specials! Our cat was a stray I took in, we found her as a tiny kitten burrowed into a snow bank. You couldn't even see her, just hear her pitiful mews:(. I brought her over to the neighbors to see if she belonged to them and they said she lived in their basement and they'd take her back. Not more than half an hour later I heard the kitty crying and she was back in the snow bank! I took her home with me after that. She was so tiny! I found her on Petfinder, there was a group that rescued dogs and brought them in a giant transport up north for adoption. Some despicable person dropped her over a 6 foot fence at a kill shelter. Luckily the group rescued her on the day she was supposed to be put down and put her in foster care before I adopted her. DH has a friend who took one of Bronx's brothers too and they were friends their whole lives. :) </p> <p>My cat I got from a lady who's cat just had kittens. I'd been friends with a shop lady's cat and asked her where she got the cat. She gave me the number and luckily enough the woman's cat had just had kittens.
