I bought most of my gear online from Discount Dance Supply. I would echo @honeybear: for brands, except I loved my Gamba pointe shoes ;) But you shouldn't have to worry about pointe shoes for ages...which is good because retrospectively I have no idea how my parents afforded my monthly pairs!</p> <p>ETA: check the school for a dress code. My favorite brands were Bloch (shoes and tights), Freed (esp. pointe shoes), and Mirella (leotards). You should be able to find them all online. I ordered some stuff from Amazon but then found it way cheaper at a local Outdoor Store (a weird location for dance stuff I thought!).
