Go during a sale (Labor Day, Columbus Day, etc) for extra savings and if you get the Macy's card you'll get another 10% off and they'll deliver free. We also got the warranty and they've mailed us new cushion covers when we get stains on them.</p> <p>Our dining set is from Scandinavian Designs, which we got during a sale so it wasn't too terrible. </p> <p>Our coffee table bedroom furniture is from Bassett Furniture. The pieces are substantial and extremely reasonable when you buy on sale. They often discontinue finishes or colors when they do a blowout sale and its SO much cheaper than their regular priced items. I barely knew what a drill was for before I started building! My DH doesn't even like building so I do most things myself. He doesn't mind pitching in a bit though, so I ask him to do all the cutting for me after I mark boards (the circular saw scares me) and sometimes the assembly requires two people but I mostly do it myself. Give it a try! This bed was one of our first projects and cost less than $200. Also we saw nothing but positive reviews of their customer service both in store and for the delivery which has been our experience so far.
