I've found a little bit of gender neutral at Target and Buy Buy Baby. There's a brand called Not Neutral which has a lot of cute stuff, but they're slightly more expensive than most.

What I want to find is cute gender neutral stuff that isn't duckies.

Gap has free shipping every day with a purchase of $50.
Carters usually has 20% off coupons, occasionally I'll find a free shipping code, but the prices are so good, it more than makes up for the cost of the shipping.

@looch: I hate paying for shipping, especially if its something that I can just go to a store and buy. I'll have to look for a free shipping deal.

BTW, Carter's online always has a promo going on and if you sign-up you automatically get a code for 20% off. They usually have a promo going for free shipping as well and I was able to score both during Christmas. They had a way better selection online than in their stores and you don't have to fuss with gas and traffic.

I have no idea! I think I might have bought every gender neutral outfit on Carter's online. I did notice that looking at boys clothes often had more gender neutral options than looking at girls section. So that's what we did since there's so few in the actual neutral category.

I love green, beige, browns and yellows but I just want to know the gender. It getting difficult to buy exclusively gender neutral things especially when there's so few. I've seen a lot of sleep and plays that, from afar look neutral but on closer inspection, have little bows or tiny frilly trims (that I love because it's so understated, yet it's most definitely not for a boy). Sigh.

I really hope LO cooperates and spreads 'em during the anatomy scan!

@artbee: shop online! I do most of my shopping online, I can't remember the last time I bought stuff in an actual store.

Carters is sold at Kohls, diapers.com, Babies r Us, etc. There's a Carters outlet by my parents home, but the prices are the same as online, so I usually buy there to take advantage of the selection.

Carters has pretty good sales online on their website. Do you also have a Macy's? They usually sell Carters. I think the older they get, the harder it is to buy gender neutral stuff. Stores like mini boden and polarn o. pyret have lots of solid colored basics but they can be pricey. I guess if you use them for two kids though, it helps with the cost a little. I totally got lucky and got two girls so all my girlie stuff is being used again!

i think any kind of animals is "gender" neutral - like monkeys, giraffes, etc.

I'd also suggest Carter's. They have a lot of stuff that could go either way.

Carters, they have some stuff that is specifically gender neutral. It's all my son wore the first 6 months of his life.

The Gap usually also has a seasonal layette that is gender neutral, this spring's theme is circus which is really cute.

I second Carter's-- All of RJ's PJs are from there and some of them are pretty neutral (green with brown monkeys, light blue with penguins, brown with yellow lions). We also have some hand-me-down PJs from Children's Place that are just colored stripes and those are definitely gender-neutral.

I feel like some Carters stuff can go either way. Like I have footie pajamas for my girl that have dogs on them that I know are for boys but I bought them anyway. They are white with blue dogs. Or another which is grey with monkeys.

Lo ran out of pjs so I went to target to buy her more. We're going team green next time around so I'm trying to buy gender neutral in case we have a boy so we won't have to buy a whole new wardrobe.

I ended up getting two girl pjs - butterflies and flowers, and two boy pjs -firetrucks and monsters. I'm ok with lo wearing boy pjs, I especially love the monsters! But what if I wanted gender neutral? Is there such thing?
