We set up a second changing station on our main floor so we wouldn't have to trek upstairs to the nursery. It's a changing pad on top of our washing machine in our first floor bathroom. We still use it all the time for Xander (22 months) and are now using it for Logan (3 weeks).

When DS was born, he slept in our room in a pack n play. We just changed him in that and had a basket with diapers, wipes, and extra clothes that we'd carry downstairs when we went down for the day. Now that he's sleeping in his nursery, the basket stays downstairs.

We got a nursery bedding set that had a crib quilt in it (that no one uses) so we folded the quilt in half and it is the changing pad for downstairs!

This is the basket we use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00674S4LU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1419220285&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=41dsFyeUKFL&ref=plSrch

Any basket will probably work but I like the compartments on this one and someone got it for me for my shower!

I change all LOs diapers on her changing pad on top of her dresser in her room. I just like having l her stuff neatly organized there.

But the first 6 months when she was in our room, that set up was in our room.

We have a small 1 story house so we just changed him in the nursery on his dresser/changing pad. Now that he is bigger and hates the changing table we change him on the rug in the bathroom. It's kinda a pain for me to get down on the floor but he can't squirm off the floor ;)

we keep a thing of wipes, diapers and a changing bed in a shelf in the bathroom off the family room. then there's the changing pad in her room upstairs. More often than not I change her downstairs so I can keep an eye on my toddler as well.

During the newborn stage, we kept a station downstairs with everything we would need. Since the diapers at that point were super small and not too smelly, we would use Muchinkins Arm & Hammer Diaper Bag Dispenser bags to contain the dirtys. We would keep throwing more in each bag until it filled up, usually one per day. I actually make the bags one of my go to baby gifts because we found them so useful at the newborn stage and still use them in our diaper bag now.

When she was a newborn, we had a station in our room (pack n play) since she slept in the RnP in our room. Once she moved into her crib/room we change all diapers in there on the pad. Still do today at 21 months.

We changed diapers in the bedroom while she was little and also the station in her bedroom. If we are downstairs, we come up. But when they're really little and poop a lot at night, the dresser next to the bed was better.

When LO was a newborn (really up until 8 weeks which was when I felt back to normal) I changed her wherever I was. We had change tables in our bedroom and the living room and we had a little caddy that we kept diapering stuff in that I carried with me when I went to other rooms with her to hang out. I had a c section and our house has a ton of stairs so I wasn't going to climb stairs to change her. After 8 weeks when I was okay to do stairs we just used the change tables in the living room/our bedroom (where she slept).

Once she moved to her nursery at almost 6 months we moved the change table to there and we just change her there. It's a hike from our main living area (1.5 flights of stairs) but she really only needs to be changed before/after naps and bed when we are in the nursery anyways, or once/day maybe in between naps when she poops. I figure climbing extra stairs is good for my ass at this point ;)

We have a changing table upstairs and a basket downstairs by the couch with diapers and wipes. When he was little we kept a changing pad in there too, and would frequently just change him on the floor or on a table, or really any solid surface (with the changing pad). Now that he's bigger we change his diaper a bit less frequently, so we usually just head upstairs to do it, and it's not a big deal. In a pinch, though, we'll just change him on the floor!

My son is older (2) but we just change him on the floor. Usually in his bedroom just because his diapers and wipes are in the top drawer of his dresser. But we only live in an 800 square foot apartment so it's not a long trip ;)

We have our master bedroom on the first floor and the nursery is upstairs. We plan to have the baby sleep with us in our room for a while when we first bring her home. The nursery is all set up wtih a dresser/changing station including changing pad, etc. But we don't have anything on the first floor.

Do you have multiple changing stations in the house? do you really need a designated station or can you just change them anywhere without a pad, etc, as long as you have diapers/wipes handy?
