Plus you have to get big orders delivered anyway (carrying sucks).<br /> I do about 80% of my grocery shopping online through FreshDirect (milk, bread, snacks, dry goods, meat, frozen foods, etc).<br /> Produce and some special items I usually get at either Whole Foods (it's not very close but I pay for delivery) or a little market near us.<br /> If I run out of something between bigger orders (usually milk), we have 2 grocery stores (Dagostinos and Morton Williams) within a couple blocks that I'll run to. It's a little further from my house but I like the selection and prices. Shaw's is right around the corner but I don't like the meat selection and I actually think the prices are higher so really only stop there if I need a few items. </p> <p>Occasionally will stop by Whole Foods for a special occasion (they have great meat and fish, but so $$$). Same w/ Trader Joes - occasional and for something specific. Giant is right by our house, so that's where we go for quick things, but it adds up if we buy everything there. It's just easier that way. I'm terrible at coupons, so our compromise is that we buy store brand for most things, and Publix store brand tends to be really good quality.</p> <p>In a pinch, I will pick things up at our regular Target (not a super), but their selection isn't big enough to make it a regular stop for groceries.</p> <p>Whole Foods and Trader Joes aren't close enough to be convenient. When the company bought 3 old Minyards/Sunfresh stores here last year, people started freaking out....Dallas was seriously losing its mind at the possibility of an HEB here, with tons of people calling corporate to "request" an HEB in one of the new locations. Sadly, none are big enough to become an HEB. One of them is insanely busy all the time so we only go there for a few specific items and go to the other store the majority of the time. We just joined BJ's so that will probably be a monthly trip. It's about 10 minutes away. Trader Joe's is also no more than monthly because it's about 20 minutes away. If I'm at Target I may pick up a couple items but generally don't do grocery shopping there.
