I went to the DMV instead, and it was free. There is only person who does the inspections, and I had to schedule an appointment. We installed it beforehand and she checked it. We searched online for carseat check locations in our area and found a listing online. They should check it &amp; show you how to reinstall it if its not in there properly (upwards of 85% of seats aren't installed properly so don't feel bad if its not... They are really knowed up &amp; often give install advice through the group, you may be able to find on nearby you &amp; meet with them! Because like just said there are some techs that don't know their stuff!
