I've ordered dresses from there several times and have been happy every time - you can rent great designer dresses for much less than purchasing a new dress. As I've gotten older I make sure I always have a wardrobe that addresses all the life events that happen, job interviews, festive and solemn events. JCrew also has some nice classic dresses. Like @looch, buying ahead & having a closet with options for all occasions really helps take the stress out of dressing for events. I've bought some when they were on sale without having somewhere to wear them just so I have a variety & don't have to scramble for something. My sister also borrows occasionally so they get put to good use. I usually buy ahead of events, so I always have something to wear, down to the shoes.
