I think everyone picks up a little before hosting but we've been friends since the toddlers were tiny babies, so we feel a little more comfortable just saying 'sorry for the mess'. This is especially true since we all started having second babies. </p> <p>Our problem now is with multiple toddler PLUS new babies regular size houses get crowded pretty quickly. </p> <p>We have also met at places like the children's museum, which is also fun, but the moms don't get to chat as much since we have to chase our kids. We typically meet once a week. There was a time when we each took turns hosting playdates in our homes, but that hasn't happened for a while, since some of the moms complained about not having a clean enough house and then people stopped offering to host. It's still too chilly to meet at the playground, so we have been meeting at a local coffee shop. The coffee shop has a small corner with a few toys for kids, but it's really not enough space for a bunch of active toddlers to run around. I don't like going to the coffee shop playdates because if this. So I'm wondering, if you have toddlers and do playdates, where do you meet? If you meet in your homes, do the group members worry about cleanliness? </p>
