I DID live in an apartment once where the only spot for it was the kitchen. It worked out though. The kitchen was only countertops on one side, the other side was a dining area also on linoleum. We did not use the dining area (did not have a table, just ate in the living room). What I did was bought a particleboard shelving unity from Target to put pantry-type supplies in and hid the cat box behind that, like a divider. It's an enclosed litter box (a booda dome or something...) and people are always like, "oh wow, that doesn't smell! awesome!" DH is building a bench of some sort right now that we can put the litter box inside so that the cats can't kick the litter out. If it's kept clean and the litter is changed regularly, I don't care where it's kept. When we move we will have a basement so that is where it will go. DH's parents and the people whose house we are moving into, keep the litter box in the kitchen. No offense to anyone who does that, but that is not appetizing to me lol. Where do you keep the litter box? </p>
