Of and PSA Old Mavy in stores is having 50% off kids clearance. I got T a 3.50 romper and .75 dress. While in California I picked up a dress I love in several sizes for $4. Score.

Thanks for the H&M recommendation I checked out the kids section while in California and loved it. I did not want to pay tax and pack a bunch of stuff home, but I did find a cute hat.

Crazy 8 has super cute stuff right now! I never think to go there but the styles are similar to Gymboree and great prices.

I get most of LO's stuff at Target and Old Navy. Sometimes I will to go Children's Place because they have great prices but I feel like I have to hunt a bit more for things I like.

Boden, Hanna and Tea. I don't like a lot of Gap's styles in the toddler shop. I look forward to when she moves into the older kids clothes - they're just cuter.

@ldh112: the one in my area is awesome! I find a lot of carters, Gymboree, gap, etc. and if she doesn't want to wear it, I don't feel like I wasted my money. Toddlers are so fickle, I just don't want to go there! Oh and swimsuits and rash guards for both kids. I bought her an Ariel one that looks brand new! They're SO pricey new!

DD gets most of her clothes from my mom. I supplement with local brands like H&M, Lindex, KappAhl and I love NextDirect for their free shipping. I get the best deals from H&M, but my little chunks is starting to outgrow their line - she needs wider cuts of clothing and H&M is typically for a thin, tall kid.

I shop used at Once Upon a Child a lot. Also Kohl's and Old Navy. I find that E tends to want to rewear the same things she is obsessed with, so lots of things with unicorns and kitty cats. And lately, princesses.

@youboots: $10 HA PJ's?? So jealous! My 7 mo old is nearing the toddler size stage so I am following. She is tall and skinny too and I struggle with things being long enough. Target circo leggings in 12m already fit and hold up well. Carters surprises me with cute pieces from time to time- they have some cute chambray things at the moment. I too find Gap to be hit or miss and wide/odd fitting even in the baby sizes.
Nordstrom has cute pieces from Tucker + Tate/Tea collection but I can't justify paying full price.

I've bookmarked several consignment sales around town this Spring and I'm hoping to find some good things that way. Are there any websites that list consignment sales in your area?

@lamariniere: the outlet is so awesome. They do crazy sales- $10 jams, $6 dresses, $3 hats. Sometimes there is nothing in her size though so it can be hit or miss.

@youboots: jealous of your HA outlet! I discovered HA last year through HB and ordered a few things when people came to visit and could bring them to me. Love it!

I go for H&M for daycare clothes. I also haven't liked toddler Gap as much as baby Gap, but I usually get a few pieces there. If I find Boden on sale, I might splurge from time to time, and that's where I bought both of my LO's winter coats. Oh, and Zara from time to time, but I have not been impressed with quality.

I also veered away from Gap once my DD hit toddler sizes. We like H&M, Gymboree and OshKosh. I want to buy more Old Navy, but I find their sizing to be bizarre - we've noticed things shrink, quickly. Most of DD's solid colored tops are Circo, from Target; they've held up nicely! I dig Zara for occasion blouses and dresses.

Sounds like H&M would be a good fit. T is 80% for height and 10% for weight. I am gifted a lot of Carters & OshBGosh- which is great for basics. I just like to have a few special things. I just got T a romper from J&J for her first birthday pics. I wish it was practical to shop more there.

I agree about toddler Gap not being as cute. We've been doing a mix of Old Navy, Carters, and Osh Kosh, but none of them have the best quality. I recently discovered zara's toddler line so I'll probably be buying more from there in the future.

@Littlebit7: yes, it does. Gap runs wide, IMO. H&M is a lot skinnier. Gymboree is our favorite for jeans though, they carry slim sizes online and you can sometimes find them in store too.

We do mainly Target, Old Navy, and Gymboree. Some Carters, but I think Osh Gosh is cuter for older kids. In a rare occasion TCP, but I find that their stuff tends to get torn up really fast.

@youboots: @twodoghouse: UGH! Let me tell you, if you don't like toddler Gap, be glad you don't have to try to shop in the Girls section. My almost-5-year old is outgrowing the toddler sizes and I haaaate almost everything in the girls' section. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, because I can't afford everything Boden, Tea, and HA!

I agree about Gap. It's really hit or miss across the board IMO (even for my clothes!). This winter we've been buying a lot of Crazy 8's, Gymboree, ON, and OshKosh. Boden and HA stuff is also super cute but we usually only get those on sale.

I loved the baby girl stuff at Gap, but was just so-so about toddler girl last year when my DD started to get big enough for toddler. I actually like some of their spring stuff this year for toddlers, but it's so hit or miss. Luckily my daughter's growth slowed way down so she still fits in the baby stuff at 21 months. I like Old Navy's toddler stuff sometimes, but I find that hit or miss too. Right now I'm loving Tea and Mini Boden, especially heading into spring.

I'm a big fan of Baby Gap for my daughter, especially on major clearance. Problem is- I don't care much for their toddler girls clothing. It seems overpriced and not very cute. I buy HA at our nearby outlet, but mostly jams. I like durable, washable, practical not too trendy clothing- a good chunk of of it being gender neutral. I also like shopping ahead/sales so I'm already picking up 2t clothes.

Where should I be shopping?
