This only works because our house is all on one level, though. We have 4 extra chairs - we keep 2 as a "sitting area" in a bay window in another room and then 2 we use as office chairs. So the padded ones go in our bedroom - I sit in one to do my makeup/hair inn the morning and my husband uses his to position his fan. These are solid wood chairs and can be heavy to carry around. Right now we have the extra chairs in the bonus room, but I feel like they are taking up a lot of space, and they aren't good lounging chairs, because there's no padding on them. I read that you shouldn't store wood furniture in the attic or garage, because of temperature fluctuations and humidity, so I'm wondering what to do with them. Where do you store extra chairs in your home? </p>
