We took a couple of shelves out of the linen closet and store it there. It was worth it to me to move things around so that it could fit there since I didn't want it in the garage, i don't want it touching our clothes, and I didn't want it out in the open. ETA: I've considered getting a light weight vacuum that I can hang on the wall. Upstairs each bedroom has a closet and we have a linen closet but its tiny and the shelving prevents putting a vacuum in there.
