Other sharp utensils are standing in a container on the counter as well. I think soon we'll put a lock on one drawer and put all sharp knives in there. Probably not the safest because she could pull over a stool and get them but she's never shown any interest. They do make block trays that fit in drawers and then you could put a lock on the drawer.
