We live in a one storey house and the garage is attached to the house. It's really convenient, as the washing line is right outside the garage, and can be accessed through a sliding door. It used to be in our kitchen back in the day (before we lived here), but I am glad they moved them to the basement. I think it would be cool to have it on the main floor though, for convenience. </p>
