We leave the flag up year round so it has to be replaced every year or two...luckily it's a civic right to a free flag each year so we just stop by our MLA's office in April/May when they come in. It was there when we moved in. When we bought the house a sad, old torn up flag was there. We took it down and just haven't replaced it. We just aren't "flag" people.</p> <p>Our neighbors have a flag pole in their front yard they maintain. They even put it at half mast when appropriate.
