@HeatherlovesKenny: wow! great score!

@MamaBehr: i searched for best chairs retailers, and it looks like they're all baby stores. i bet you have the chair i loved, isn't it the best?!? i may just say i sat in it and haven't found a more comfy chair, haha

sounds like i should go check out some lazy boy chairs! online they're not much to look at, but the best chairs one wasn't either, it was just so gd comfy! so maybe lazy boy will be similar.

Check out the Macy's Clearance store--we found a leather one that sits in our living room now. It's super comfortable and does everything we needed for a chair in the nursery. It was around $300.

We have the Cole Reclina-Glider from La-Z-Boy and love it! It will end up in our living room once we are done with it in the nursery. http://www.la-z-boy.com/product/6971-8715/Reclina-Rocker/ It's $669 right now but it's been on sale for around $500 on and off over the past few months. It also has a ton of patterns to choose from.

We got a la-z-boy. You can get any recliner and then they can change out the type of base for an additional cost. I got mine during their half price sale so that helped the cost a lot. We switched to the glider swivel base for $120 which made it around right around $580 total after tax. You can usually find some good deal if you go to a showroom.

Here is ours, and we got it in a green color that I can't really describe because it changes dramatically in different lighting:
http://www.la-z-boy.com/Product/5224-7657/Rex-Pub-Fabric-Recliner/

ETA: I see no reason you can't ask for the "baby specific one" if that is what you would be most happy with. Just say you like that type of chair.

I have a glider, recliner from Best Chairs and I LOVE IT!!! I don't remember the name of the one we have, but it is HUGE (it easily fits me, the baby, and my toddler). We did get it at a baby store, but maybe you could find Best Chairs somewhere else? Or say that you have been wanting the most comfortable chair ever and one of your friends has it and you love it, even if it is for babies.... to steer them away from the idea of a baby.....

I have one from la-z-boy, but it is about twice what you want to spend. I loved that you could order it in so many different fabrics and definitely doesn't look like a baby glider at all.

I was convinced after my pre baby shopping bucket list thread (aka: my Christmas list ideas!) that a rocker glider recliner should be added. But since we aren't pregnant yet, I don't want to put a baby specific one on there (hello crazy town!) because well, that would be a weird thing to ask my parents :D

so you ladies are always so helpful & I was wondering if you could suggest a chair or place to look. I looooooved the Irvington glider recliner from best chairs, most comfortable chair I've ever sat in! And I like the little castle reclining glider below, but those are both 'baby chairs'. I want something big enough for DH to be comfortable in, that reclines, glides, and comes in a cool pattern or a funky green color. Suggestions? Oh & price point about $500 preferably below, but a little over isn't an automatic out if it's awesome : )
