Some make you do your own home study or other little things and we found it comforting to b with th same people all the way through.</p> <p>We also found an agency that has no birth mother fees. From there, we narrowed it down... some of the factors we used to narrow it down were how expensive they were, if they seemed ethical (this was a big one for us), and location (since we knew we would have a lot of classes and meetings to attend). I also searched online for reviews of the different agencies. </p> <p>We found one we really liked and made an appointment to meet with them, and we felt so good about it, we both felt like we didn't need to interviw any other agencies. </p> <p>If you haven't already, check out The Bump's adoption board. The next step is to start researching agency vs lawyer. Then you have to research which agency or lawyer. There are lots of good resources for researching both and I believe I've linked to many of them in my blog posts. If you do use an attorney, stick with Quad A attorneys and if you use an agency, make sure you really scrutinize which is right for you.</p> <p>It's such an amazing journey!
