she would sleep in the car seat while driving or we wear her in a carry and she's out. our LO hasn't fallen asleep in a stroller in a LONG time. i would just bring all the options and try not to stress. when she seems tired, pop in her somewhere and hopefully she'll sleep!

@GreenThumb: I promise you there will be meltdowns When DD was that age we would bring the carrier and she would fall asleep there and when she was out I would transfer her to the stroller. Good luck!

@lamariniere: I know, that's what I'm afraid of! We won't be near our hotel once we leave in the morning. I don't think I quite thought all this through when we made our plans.

we had our DD sleep in her stroller. She passed out in the stroller (which she doesn't usually) and slept for 2 hours. We were able to eat while she slept.

@lawbee11: @Pumuckl: Yes, the stroller may work the best, I guess I was just thinking the car seat because it would be cool and dark in the garage (we're going to be in Chicago so it isn't too warm out yet). Maybe we can find a park with some shade to hang out at and let her fall asleep in the stroller while we walk. Thanks!

I'd guess that once tired enough she'll nap in the stroller especially if it is moving. Don't know about the carseat in the car, wouldn't the air be kind of stuffy and/or hot?

@GreenThumb: I think there's a better chance of your LO falling asleep in the stroller or while being worn than in a car seat if the car is parked and not moving. My LO is 9 months old and I don't think she'd fall asleep in her car seat if the car was parked. Do you BF? The only other thing I can think of is nursing your LO to sleep in the parking garage then just holding her.

When my son was that age he would only nap in a bed, so we had to spend a lot of time at the hotel.

We are going taking a long weekend trip soon and will be out and about away from the hotel during the whole day on Saturday. I guess we haven't done this in awhile because it just dawned on me that we need to consider naps for our 11 month old. Any thoughts on napping while traveling? We are going to be parked in a parking garage, so we could go back and try to get her to nap in her carseat. She hasn't fallen asleep in the stroller in a long time mostly because we are home for naps everyday. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
