Also very expensive but also worth every penny.<br /> Sort of a pain to get to, but once you're there it is pure heaven.</p> <p> ETA: viceroy also had drop off activities, but I believe only for older kids like three or maybe four. Stuff like cupcake decorating and kids yoga on the beach. I'm not sure if they have drop off services for infants.<br /> Nizuc had drop off for any age. Four years and older it was free. Under four it was $20 an hour. But $40 for 2 hrs of uninterrupted pool time was totally worth it to us. I read a book and closed my eyes and had 2 piña coladas.<br /> Nizuc property is huge and uses golf carts to get around. It's totally not a problem because the golf carts come by every minute or so. Restaurants are abundant, I think there's only one that was no kids. Or maybe it was no kids after a certain time. Either way it was no problem. We didn't leave the property once and felt no regrets about it. They are very accommodating and give you everything that you need in your room. They even have highchairs that you can request in advance and keep in the room the whole time. But my parents saved for a couple of years (including loose change) and we finally went to Disney when I was maybe 14. That was a great trip. No fighting between siblings and we all had such a blast! I absolutely cannot wait to take our son. Hopefully this winter!</p> <p>So far we haven't done a TON of vacations with LO (only two so far) but we went to Mexico with him in December and had an amazing time. The resort was super kid friendly and gorgeous. We just had such a nice time relaxing and dining. They had a kids club where we could drop LO for an hour or two so we could relax by the pool and read / enjoy a drink. Our room had a private plunge pool so when LO napped or went to bed we could still sit out there and enjoy being outside. And they had babysitting staff in room so we went to dinner one night. My parents had a pop-up trailer and we would just travel to the parks...it was so fun! Lots of natural beauty and it was great hiking around and catching lizards and looking for animal skeletons and finding "secret" trails. What made it fun is that it was just our family, hanging out, with no distractions.</p> <p>When we were older (and my parents more well-off) we would take more elaborate trips, like to Hawaii or Washington, DC. I begged to go there. Finally when I was in 8th grade, my parents took our whole family over Christmas break, and for Christmas, I got $300 to spend at the mall on clothes and accessories to wear to school. I was so, so excited. hahaha.</p> <p>Also, my dad flew the plane on the way there and back (that's how the trip got arranged, he got put on the Dallas-Edmonton route for a few months), so that was super cool too, to hear my dad making the pilot announcements and stuff. We did Oahu when I was in high school and I realllly loved it there. Ibiza was the best holiday but I think that was more to do with E being a bit older. My grandparents lived there, it was an easy drive, and my uncle's family would spend summers there. </p> <p>We also love Kiawah, SC, my husband's family went there every year and we've been a couple times with kids. </p> <p>I love San Juan Island and Orcas Island, WA, but haven't been with kids yet. </p> <p>My absolute favorites with kids have been Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Rocky Mountain National Parks.
