We have a laundry chute so I only have to carry clothes up the stairs. I actually prefer it there. It's literally the furthest possible room from the upstairs bedrooms without going outside. So, it's a little bit of a pain. There is no dedicated laundry room, and I think most houses in my neighborhood have their washer and dryer in their basements. My original owner decided to move it into the kitchen, but it's an eyesore.
