My mom also got her a bigger doll, and it’s too big. The smaller one she can tote around better. I’ll take a picture for you. Pic added. She has both, and goes for the smaller one all the time and totes it around. The other one is a kings gate, and is 18”. My DD got her first one as a bday present at 12 months and took to it immediately and never stopped caring for it. Now she has a whole collection (grandma keeps finding more dolls on her Buy Nothing group) and cares for them all. I definitely think they're helping her prepare for the arrival of real-life baby brother. </p> <p>Heads up though it will be really tough not to lose all those tiny accessories. She LOVES it and takes it everywhere. It's snuggly and easy to carry around. I can't decide on which one... a soft body one with a bunch of accessories or a rigid body one. I love how lifelike the rigid body one looks, but I don't know how well it will fit in the little doll stroller we got since it is hunched over. The softbody one looks easier to play with. </p> <p>We are expecting #2 in June and hoping the doll will help prep DD for that. I know I am totally overthinking this but I blame pregnancy hormones.</p> <p>ETA: The rigid body one has articulated arms and legs so it may sit in the stroller better than I thought.
