No complaints at all, and it never seemed to bother Liv. And I would take 2-3 readings to be sure it was accurate (a lot of reviews of other thermometers said that they would get readings that varied by as much as 3º in a single session) and Ive never had more than .1 or .2 difference. We used the rectal for the first 3-4 months, and we use the Exergen one now. If it reads high, Id double check with the rectal. It uses a beam to test surface tempature.
