We have a mixture of light countertops and darker floors. I also think they would be more comfortable though. They also seem to tip fairly easily due to their shape (and hers are nicer pretty sturdy ones). What bar stools do you have? I'm torn between a stool that blends into the bar so it is "hidden" in plain view when not in use, versus one that contrasts.
