@regberadaisy: have you considered a phil and ted's lobster?
we LOVE ours. DD still uses it at 27 months. DS uses it when she doesn't too!

@looch: Unfortunately, LO isn't quite at the stage where I can leave her seated at a regular chair for long periods of time. :(

We have a FP at home and do love it but was considering the option of something more multipurpose so we can grab it for other occasions.

I'm sorry- I don't have any advice but I read this title as if you needed to get a booster seat for your grandparents to sit on, not LO! Just picturing a little old granny on a booster seat :)

We have the FP one at LO's grandparent's house and we love it. Easy to clean and even though it doesn't fold up slat it truly doesn't take up very much room. Can tuck it away in a closet or under a bed when not in use.

Have you thought about the Kaboost? It fits on the bottom of the chair, raising it up.

We have one at my parents house, perfect solution.

i haven't tried the regalo. i have the FP as well as a cloth high chair, and the FP is so much easier to clean even though the cloth is machine washable.

but if you find there are lots of times where you wish you had an activity chair, the regalo may be nice! although the thought just occurred to me that even though it may look unusual, you could use the FP as a chair on the floor. my friend does that with her twins sometimes.

LO is 15 months and the ILs will be watching her 1x a week starting in September. We're getting her a secondary booster seat for their house.

But I'm wondering if I'm better off buying a "booster" seat that's multi purpose like this:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Regalo-Portable-Booster-Activity-Chair/4457082

rather than say a FP Healthy Care Deluxe.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fisher-Price-Healthy-Care-Booster-Seat-Green-Blue/17432259

ETA: They're both portable but I like how the regalo folds up even smaller so we can use that when we travel to my family.

Thoughts?
