I've also heard of Henny. My son's name is Samuel, and obviously Sam and Sammy are easy, but we often refer to him as Sammy-O or Sam-O because our last name begins with an O. Baby boy is due to arrive in less than a month and we are at a complete standoff with names - each of us has a favorite and isn't budging! Our 3.5 year old daughter is Eleanor (almost always called Nora). Our last name is similar in sound/style to Franklin. Middle will be somewhat unusual name after my late FIL, so not really worried about how it all sounds together. With Nathaniel, we would call him Nate most of the time. With Henry, not sure if we would use a nn - Hank is rhymey with our LN but recently came across Huck as a nn for Henry and would consider that. Would love to hear other nn options for Henry too, the lack of nn is a vote agaist that name for us. Thank you!!
