I used both the Medela PISA and the Spectra S2 last time and the Spectra was so much better and more comfortable than the Medela. It had lots of different options, the letdown phase was way more effective, and I got significantly more milk using it.

I haven't tried the 9S but I think that is the portable one, yea? I'd probably go with that out of your list.

I've also heard from several people that the Freemie pump has an inadequate motor.

@Mrs. Microscope: I bought a pump bra last time, and the nipple holes were so close together - it gave me a complex about my boobs ... like, "Should they actually be closer together?!" :)

@littlejoy: If you have the option for a freestyle, I recommend it over the pump in style. I had to pay a little extra, but it was worth it for me not to have to plug in every time. I really like the flexibility.

I'm planning to get the medela freestyle this time, so I can strap on my pumping bra and do chores while I pump. Or play with my toddler, cook dinner, etc. Life with 2 kids is going to be crazy, and I don't want to waste quiet time to tethered to a wall pumping. I think it's an upcharge on insurance, but worth it!

@Pollywog: I hadn't heard of this pump before their email ... I'll look into it for sure. Thank you!!

@Pumpkin Pie: That would be so nice to not have to find a plug if I am out of the house.

I had the pump in style last time but got the freestyle this time. I like the freestyle much more. It has a rechargeable battery so it's portable and you can pump anywhere, and it's smaller.

I love my Spectra. It is quiet, easy to clean, and effective. I've been pumping for over a year with no issues.

I am so overwhelmed with the options I was given (so many vendors, so many pumps) for my free pump this time around.

Any advice would be helpful ... not sure if it matters, but I have small boobs, will mostly be pumping at home, and struggled with low supply last time.

Here are the options:
Medela Pump in Style
Ameda Purely Yours
Natures Bond
Freemie Freedom Deluxe
Spectra 9S
Tomy Quiet Expressions Plus

The other vendors just say "Medela and Ameda only", with no specific pump listed - is there a specific one I should see if they carry? I had the Pump in Style last time, and it seemed to be ok.
