Since it is a closed system, you could get one used as long as you get a new accessory set. For the medela, you need to get new. I have ruled out the Ameda, so now my choices are the Hygeia Q or the Medela PISA. Here are a few of my pros and cons. Any advice, please?</p> <p>I like the accessibility of Medela parts and accessories. It seems harder to keep clean than with a closed system pump. I like that there is an automatic let-down button as a FTM, I don't know if I'll be able to figure out how to induce letdown myself with the manual speeds on the Hygeia. With my insurance, it does not come with a bag or backpack.</p> <p>What feedback I have heard about Hygeia has been great, but it doesn't seem like a lot of ladies have used Hygeia. I like that it is a closed system. Is it really easy to clean? If I can figure out the manual settings for let down I have heard you can get better results. I have heard most Medela parts fit Hygeia, but if not, I would have to order parts online.</p> <p>I would appreciate any input, please! Bonus if anyone has used both a Hygeia and the PISA!
