@hellobeeboston: They're both from the Dessy Group: alfred sung. I've been loving this process because it's the first time I've had a hard time choosing a bridesmaid's dress because I like too many! Definitely looking forward to owning the dress and wearing to other events in the future. :)

@futuremama: Oooh! That's really helpful! Thank you!
@JessiBee: There weren't any that I saw with a clear empire waist... I might have to invest in some serious spanxx!

I'm the only one who has chosen number 1 so far. My concern is that your boobs can get HUGE when nursing and I guess number 2 would make me a little self conscious in a wedding setting. I guess it depends how modest you are about cleavage!

Although, number 2 would be easier for nursing...

That second dress is so pretty!! Where is it from?? I think that one will be easier pp/ nursing

They both look really fitted through the waist. I'm only 3 weeks PP, but the waist area is not where I want attention (or fitted) clothing at the moment. Is there something with a higher waist...or even better, is it not quite as tight there as I think, because the pics are of a tiny model? :)

Yup dress two will be best! You can pop out a boob to nurse. Plus the neck line draws attention to your boobs which will be your fave feature of your new bod! For what's its worth I was fitting into all of my regular clothes by 1 month pp so hopefully you'll have a similar experience and feel great by the time of the wedding!

I've worn/tried on both of these dresses. They're both really forgiving in the waist line. I've never had a LO, so I'm not familiar with all of the post partum fun, but dress 1 could be pretty tough for nursing. Dress 2 is pretty forgiving in the chest (in other words, huge on me). I think it would be the best choice. It should have room to grow into and you can probably just pull it down to nurse. I would probably only order one size up from normal. The bottom is very forgiving. The outside fabric is very loose, and you can just cut into the lining if it is snug. It really depends on how busty you are to start with though.

Definitely the second so you can rock the new cleavage you'll have! It will also be way cooler if you are concerned about warm weather.

They are both cute dresses. Dress 2 looks like you might be able to pull it down to nurse, whereas the other one you'd have to take that dress half off.

@MsLipGloss: Hehe, I'm usually small chested and have gone up a size and a half while pregnant. Is it bad that I'm excited to fill out dresses???

Dress 2 seems like it would be easier for nursing, but take that with an enormous grain of salt, as I am not (nor have I been) pg.

I voted for the cap sleeve option . . . because it is looks like it would allow for more cleavage if need be! :) Both are good choices!

Those are both so pretty! I picked the cap sleeve one.

Do you each get to pick what one you want to wear in the same colour?

I would vote the cap sleeves/v-neck because you'll have less of the dress to have to pull down/take off if you are nursing.

So I'm going to be a bridesmaid in my BIL's wedding in August. If baby comes on his due date-ish I'll be 2 and a half months post partum. Of course it's time to order the dress I'll be wearing NOW though, and I'm at a loss for what will be the most flattering on my new mommy body. I'm figuring I'll order 2 sizes up from my normal pre-pregnancy size, but was wondering what you ladies who've been through it think about the cuts and styles of my top two choices. Things I'm considering:

It could be hot!
Nursing breaks
Insecurities about waist line

Anything else? Which dress would you choose for 2.5 mos PP?
