We have the Diono Radian and a Honda CRV and we love it! We are still rear facing at almost 3 years old (and will continue to do so as long as possible...DD has long legs too and doesn't mind!) we installed it with the angle adjuster and it makes a big difference for us. We love it. When DD2 is ready for a convertible we plan on getting another one.

We have the Diono in my car and I love the seat! But RF, it definitely takes up A LOT of room. However, we didn't use the angler and I heard that can save you up to like 6", which is a lot!

We have the Advocate Click Tight and love it. It's heavy, but we don't really move it so that's not a big concern. It's SO easy to install, and even though we're not tall, we have a small car (Honda Civic) so space is a concern. But the seat has fit totally fine, it has 7 or 9 recline levels so you can pretty much always make it fit. The NextFit was our initial choice but then the Click Tights came on the market before we bought one so we went with that, since we can't use LATCH in the center position in our car. We've been very happy with our choice.

we have a nextfit in one car and the Graco 4ever in another. Love both! We previously had britax marathon 70g3s but LO outgrew them by height before we were ready to FF.

We love our NextFit - it's so easy to install and has an incline adjuster so you can get it level really easy. Our infant seat took so much room front to back but the NextFit has been just fine for DH and I and we are tall too. The seat is very comfy for my son too.

@SweetCaroline: Do you have Amazon Prime? I'm far away from any brick and mortar store where I could try seats but I have bought and returned six seats from Amazon to try in my car before settling on one. Free two day shipping and free returns on all the ones I tried!

@Mamag511: From reading the car seat blogs, that is a common complaint. How old is your DD? I'd hate to have my DD outgrow it just because the crotch strap becomes too short.

@pinkb: @Mrs.KMM: Thanks! I have a feeling we will end up with Britax. I feel very comfortable with their products and have been very happy with our B-Safe infant seat.

@rattles: Oh that's helpful to know! We would have to drive 1-1/2 to 2 hours to find a place that would let us try them out, but I think that is probably worth it, since we'll be using it for 6+ years to come.

@Foodnerd81: oh that's good to know! I'd be interested in hearing from others too, seems like FF should take up very minimal front to back room! The Diono sorta freaks me out a little with the low sides...like the kid isn't protected as much. I need to get over that, obviously.

I have a Britax boulevard (similar to the advocate) and really like it so far. My only complaint is that the middle buckle is a little short, but it was fixed by moving it up to the next slot. Hopefully that will work for the long term as dd grows!

We only have a nextfit and I like it. It took up the least space front to backin RF. But we just turned it FF and it seems like it takes up a lot of space for a FF seat- I have nothing to compare it to so I'm curious if anyone can comment on that. And the higher sides mean you have to lift LO up and into it, where the diono has lower sides.

I agree that you are best off trying them all in your car.

Oh and the nextfit is bulky to move but so easy to install with latch. Super easy.

Do you have a BBB or some place that will let you try them in your car nearby? I was planning to do a Radian or Nextfit, but we ended up with a Foonf because its height meant we had more room front-to-back for the driver/passenger. If you've done that much research, I'm sure any of them would work. It would just be a matter of space or personal preference.

We have a Britax Boulevard Clicktight (so pretty similar to the Advocate) and we really like it. It is extremely easy and relatively fool proof to install. And I think that it is very adjustable which makes it easy to get everything set in a way that is comfortable for both your child and other passengers in the car.

We have or have had quite a few. Had a Pria, it was ok but the straps twisted all the time! I was glad to see it go. I love our britax seats! We have a boulevard and a click tight pinnacle super easy install super easy strap adjustments. Just got a diono about 3 months ago because DS is very big and needed high limits. So far it has been difficult to get installed correctly and no one can sit in the front seat with it in the car. And then we have 2 foonfs. Really like them, easy install. But has to be uninstalled to adjust the straps to a higher level. And we just got the baby sitter a graco contender I think. Really like it! Easy adjustments just like britax and pretty easy install.

Please help me decide! DD is approaching the height limits for her Britax infant seat and we need to make the plunge.

We currently have a Maxi Cosi Pria for one vehicle, and I cuss it out each time I use it. No matter how hard I wrench on the straps from the back of the seat, it is so damn hard to tighten. So...that's not an option.

I'm looking at: Britax Advocate Click-Tight, Diono Radian (we would get the angle adjuster), and Chicco Nextfit. We are a tall family, so leg room in the front seat is important, as are the car seat's height limits (would like option to do extended RF). I don't care if the car seat is heavy, it will very rarely be moved.

Tell me your real-life experiences, especially if you have more than one of these! I've read to the end of the car seat blogs.
