Triple Paste worked well for us, but we recently ran out and I decided to give coconut oil a go. It's organic but refined (what we had in our cupboard), and it's worked just as well as the Triple Paste! I'm totally a coconut oil convert. It's so much cheaper than Triple Paste, too!

Coconut oil. When he gets a real rash, he gets a bath with baking soda. That usually helps clear things up quickly.

Triple paste for the really bad rashes, but for just a little redness and normal barrier cream we use CJ's Butter (so many different scents, soooo yummy smelling!)

We use Desitin Maximum Strength. We've been fortunate that DS doesn't get rashes very often so we don't change it up. Desitin usually clears things up within a day or so for us.

@Bao: I hope they're useful! I find the sitz baths to be SO helpful and soothing and in my experience they really cut down the healing time for the rash (yeast or otherwise).

Check out this: http://www.babycenter.com/0_yeast-diaper-rash_10913.bc and this: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/baby-rashes/FL00090&slide=7 regarding yeast infection. We do sitz baths: http://children.webmd.com/tc/diaper-rash-home-treatment (for "recipe" or we sometimes use the Motherlove herbal sitz bath). We do plenty of diaper-free time. And we use the Motherlove or Earth Mama Angel Baby ointment. Lorelei has never had a full-fledged rash, but Ellie had a couple, especially when she was in daycare, and that is what we did.

Sudocrem (which I think is like the UKs answer to triple paste) and Boudreauxs Butt Paste.

If she just a tiny irritated, ill sometimes use straight coconut oil.

@Bao: Not obvious to me, lol. He had an...open sore? Almost looked like a blister after it popped? Sort of cratered? It remained stubbornly unchanged for days. We went through the list of things the pedi's RN had told us to do last time he had a rash (lots of diaper-free time, diaper cream, baking soda in the tub, wet wash clothes instead of diaper wipes...) but nothing changed it at all--not worse, but nothing had an effect. Then the rest of his bum started looking...raw? Almost like carpet burn. So I called the pedi's office wanting to know what else to do, and since I'd done everything they'd have first recommended I try they had me bring him in to look at it and his pedi diagnosed it. I had no idea that's what it was, so I'm really no help!

For less-minor rashes we use Boudreauxs or Desitin. LO had a yeast infection so we're currently using Boudreauxs in conjunction with a prescription cream.

For mild rashes we use Angel Baby Bottom Balm or whatever it's called.

LO has her first diaper rash and I don't think what we are using is helping. We have Earth's Best, but I think we need something else. I usually use it for after she poops but now she has an actual rash so I need some ideas of how to clear it up.
