I feel like among boys, there is a small number of very popular normal-sounding names, and once you get past those on the baby names list, you're in weird-stuff territory. So it's a choice between baby boy having the same name as everyone else in his class, or having an off-the-wall name that nobody can pronounce or spell. Much harder than girl names. Boy names we are really picky with so we basically have our boy name chosen. Girl names, on the other hand, we struggle with because we like so many! I think females have more leniency in their names in general, personally, for better or for worse. For girl names, we both loved so many and had our own favorites that the other vetoed. I love both names we chose though! </p>
