With LO2 it was med free. The epi certainly made everything more comfortable, except for pushing. The med free birth was extremely fast, just 45 minutes from start to finish, but it was utterly excruciating. That said, the recovery was quicker. </p> <p>I honestly don't know what I would pick if I had a 3rd...probably the epi! </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/which-did-you-prefer#post-2137397 Wed, 08 Apr 2015 22:55:16 +0000 Kemma 2137397@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>If you've had both a "natural" and a medicated labour / delivery, which did you prefer and why?</p> <p>My first labour was very medicated, almost thirty hours and included an epidural, pitocin, episiotomy and a ventouse delivery but my second labour was just shy of twelve hours with only gas for pain relief.</p> <p>On one hand, the medicated labour was much more pleasant due to the epidural but recovery was longer and harder however on the flipside although recovery has been much easier after my "natural" delivery, spending almost five hours going through transition with just the gas was brutal and really unpleasant!</p> <p>So how about it, which did you prefer and which would you choose to go through again? </p>
