My town is full of mom and pop shops so if I'm downtown I'll go there. Or if I'm looking specifically for furniture, or a gift for someone that's more unique. (and i just looked it up. we can buy it online with free shipping! next time ...)</p> <p>same for groceries and clothing and home decor, i usually visit independent shops.</p> <p>however, it is very difficult to avoid ikea for wooden hangers. or the occasional stop at in-n-out burger. </p>
