In 2010 we bought a washer from a woman who was moving to assisted living. Her son ended up throwing in the older dryer for free (kenmore). It's definitely an older style but it's still going strong! We only paid $150. We need a new one ASAP. I am trying to decide if we should buy a new one or get one used. I looked quickly on Craigslist and fb and saw some used ones for $150-200. But then there's the uncertainty of buying from a stranger! When I can get a new one for $400-500 for a basic model. But I just know if we're buying a new one we won't buy a basic one. We will buy a highly rated, efficient gas dryer that will last us for ages. We've lived together for 13 years and have always had/bought used dryers!</p> <p>Which dryer do you have? Do you love it? Was it worth it? Ugh I hate buying major appliances on the fly!!! </p>
