We visited my hometown for 4th of July, and I was trying to explain to him some of the customs at the town picnic, "So all the adults in the town line up and one by one they try to kick their shoe off and whoever's shoe flys furthest wins!" He thought it was the weirdest thing he's ever heard until he tried it and took first place in the adult shoe kicking competition! </p> <p>Apparently in San Francisco where he grew up the town adults don't participate in an annual shoe kick off to celebrate the Fourth of July?
