That's always been perfect for me, without making me too uncomfortable during the procedure. (Make sure you're doing it to the actual transfer time, if they give you two times like 9:30 arrival for a 10:00 transfer.) </p> <p>My husband came to all RE consults, plus my HSG, 2 out of 3 of the IUIs, all egg retrievals and embryo transfers, and "loss" appts like an ultrasound to confirm miscarriage. For our IUI's he would drop off the sample and then head to the office, I would go in later for the procedure. During our IVF cycle he came to the initial consult, the retrieval and the transfer. I wanted to have him there for the transfer (even though it was basically the same as an IUI) because I was officially "PUPO" that day and it was important to me to share that experience with him. If bloodwork/ultrasound appointments didn't work for his schedule, he didn't go, and he didn't go to my second beta after the BFP. He went with me to transfers because a) he wanted to be in the room when I got pregnant:) and b) I needed someone to drive me home because of the Valium.
