DS still can't say the TH sound properly, but they're not really supposed to have that down pat until 8. He's always been very conscientious of how he pronounces things.

DS's name is Sam and I thought it would be super easy for her to learn but nope he was called "am"

When we had her evaluated by EI they said that "s" was actually a very hard sound to learn

My LO could not say yellow correctly for a long time - at 2 years 2 months she can finally say it. It uses to be Lellow which was so cute. I'm sure she would have corrected herself but we practiced with her...she could say other y words but something about the combo of y with ls...so we'd practice with her - "yeh, yeh, low, low...say it fast yeh-low"...it'd be so cute bc she could say "yeh-low" slowly and then she'd say "lell-low!" She got it after a few weeks

She also could not say her own name (Clara). She would say "car-wah" then she got the r sound and said "car-rah" and everyone that her name was Kara...now at 26 months she got the l sound and says it correctly. I miss the mispronunciation sometimes

Was it the letter L? This is the last one for mine to learn. I briefly drew attention to working on it the past few days, but not too much to take away from her communication, and she is finally getting it. She first got it as the middle sound and now is starting to get the beginning sound.
I had a cousin I called Wara when I was a kid bc I couldn't say Lara when I was young. I was also wondering if it was genetic and if anyone else did anything to help LO along.
