@AmandaB8: ohh, that's what you meant, i know all that! i am buying it off a bst facebook page :) So when i said i narrowed it down to these two because they are close to retail prices, i meant the sellers are selling them for prices relatively close to what they are listed as on the tula site (compared with some tulas that go for close to or over 1K on the bst pages).

@Bao: @Greentea: i decided and am getting the turquoise!

So Tula sells both canvas and wrap conversion sscs. These are wrap conversions. You can't just buy it off their site. You would need to either buy it at a stocking, which happens every two weeks and they sellout in about 30 seconds or you would have to buy it from a Facebook trade group or a used children's site.

@AmandaB8: what do u mean?

@simplyfelicity: it is a brand (company) that primarily makes different types of SSCs but they also sell some woven wraps and ring slings. I think they got so popular because the tula SSC is like the new ergo. And they have a million prints and patterns and colours to choose from. The main reason I'm getting one is because they also make toddler sized carriers so it fits my LO better now that he is bigger.

@californiadreams: I love the turquoise! The other one is a bit busy for me. So, I have a question...is a tula a brand or ssc or a style?

@Mrs.Lemondrop: DH does wear LO, but not as much as he used to. And he is stubborn about learning to use a new carrier (he got used the beco and the straps go on differently than the ergo and tula). But either way, he doesn't care what it looks like. They are on the girly side, but i am also staying away from extreme girly (like pink with bows). And actually i found stock pics online with men wearing these carriers.

@mrskc: actually after i wrote to you i thought how i have found my carrier on the floor etc after DH uses it. He is not careful with them and obsessed about keeping them perfect as i am, so it is something to consider.

I am leaning towards the turquoise and despite the impracticaliy of the light colour, i think i want to go for it. They are both full woven wrap conversions that i found online for close to retail prices hence why i narrowed it down to these two. There are other prints i like more but people sell them in the $700-1200 range and i refuse to pay that much. I just really want to see the difference between a canvas tula and a wrap converion one so i am getting one of these. If i don't find it 100X more comfortable than the regular, then i will probably sell it and get a canvas print i have been eyeing (in a darker colour).

I like the turqoise one more, BUT will your DH ever carry the baby? Those are both really girly IMO. I didn't want to exclude DH so I picked something gender neutral (also helped that the Ergo 360 is only available in 2 colors). So far, he wears her in the Ergo a lot more than I do, especially for long family walks and the like.

@californiadreams: I love them both - probably the turquoise one a tad more but I would be afraid to get a carrier in that light of a colour. For that reason, I would pick the purple (which is also gorgeous!)

@mrskc: I think that is my issue with the stripes to, but they look too busy. I like the color of the purple more than anything else. I like the mermaids to, but I'm not sure I want to look at them all the time lol. I could take extra care to make sure it doesn't get too dirty. I don't ever throw them on the floor ha ha.

@jedeve: good point I think I am more of a neutral dresser but I like the occasional print or funky stuff. That's not a big concern though because I have other carriers and if I felt that I was wearing something that looked weird with this one, then I could use another one. And it is for a toddler who I don't wear as much as when he was a baby.

What do you normally wear? The first print is less bold. If you wear a lot of neutrals, you could do either. But if you wear a lot of prints or stripes, the second might be too much!

The turquoise color is so pretty! I like the mermaids? on it too. The second one looks too busy to me. I don't think it would get too dirty if maybe you keep it in a bag. I throw mine on the floor of my car and the stroller so it gets lots of dirt on it.

I hate my indecisiveness! i narrowed it down to these two and to help me make a decision i will post a poll.....I think I will find out how i really feel when i see poll results leaning one way (as in, if the majority says one is nicer then i will either feel good or not good about it and get my true answer, lol).

i am leaning towards one, but am afraid of regretting my choice!
