We were housebound during winter when they were itty bitty, but once they stared to get more active (ie, fun) the weather was warmer. I had so much fun in the sun with my DD before her first birthday and before I went back to work. Having a year mat leave makes a difference though. September was great because we could just hibernate the first 6 months! May was tough with a toddler because it got hot baby wearing and baby refused to just sit in car seat or stroller. It wasn't too hot, we could go on lots of walks. It was good for a month or so, then it started to get cold. My youngest is a late May baby. It was awesome. Once I was recovered enough and naps were sorted, we would go out almost everyday. We could get out for walks and I didn't have to worry about layering her up too much. My LO will have to stay with me while on Mat Leave and its easier to leave her program during the summer, plus we wont be stuck in the house all the time. I much preferred having the July baby (even in the midst of humid summer) because we were out and about and I wasn't going stir crazy like the winter newborn months.</p> <p>I think ideally would be a Spring baby to enjoy being outside and still having "nice" weather when going back to work after maternity leave. </p>
