And the gap was even wider when I took the GRE! I needed to remind myself to slow down and really read the questions. My dad was one of those people who scored brilliantly on the math, but was questioned as to his understanding of the English language too! He did well enough but must have just over thought every question.</p> <p>I did better on math than verbal but luckily didn't suck at verbal quite as much as I thought I would.
