FIL has 18 other grandkids so this is old hat to him. MIL didn't even acknowledge the pregnancy until I was 20 weeks. My folks check in every day. They kept track of my appointments and always called check in. My MIL came to our anatomy scan, and her and FIL were both in the delivery room with me and DH (and my mom). She was the first grandchild on my side so my mom was thrilled (and cried when I told her) and my MIL was always interested but more so after she found out she was a girl!
