Zoli cup and the playtex lil' gripper cups. Found these to work the best, but all have issues with leaking. At home, we use take and toss.

@lawbee11: I started with a sippy but got so sick of her dropping it and it was too heavy, so I went straight to the straw.

We ended up using the playtex squeezy one (all the swarm sippy round ups recommended it). You can squeeze the water up to teach them the water will come out of the straw. Now that she has the hang of it she can use the munchkin one even though it's harder to suck out of. But I only use them for water.

For smoothies I use the munchkin one but with a regular straw that I can throw out. We don't do any kind of milk yet.

@lawbee11: We never introduced a sippy and I am so happy for it. We went straight to straw cups.

I LOVE our b.box straw cups, but I don't feel like I can really get in there and clean "through" the straw, so I only use them for water. For milk I like the Oxo Tot straw cup. It can leak a bit, but my diaper bag came with an insulated bottle/cup sleeve, so I just keep it in there so I don't have to worry about it getting on anything.

@Pepper: M loves her Playtex straw cup but only because she loves chewing on the handle. Her face lights up when I pull it out then she immediately flips it over....*sigh*

I really want to avoid introducing sippy cups at all and just do straw cups, so maybe I'll experiment with some of these.

I answered on your other thread, but check out the Lansinoh Momma straw cups. They are very good and leak substantially less than all of the (many) other cups I have tried.

The biggest thing for us has been that milk is either in a sippy (and any sippy with do) or only in the high chair - that way I don't have to worry about leaks. We use the Momma cups or a Take and Toss straw cups for high chair milk drinking.

DD loves the Zoli and the BBox cups for water. And I don't really care if they leak a little because it's just water.

We've tried the playtex and nuby straw cups and are on the hunt for our next ones. DH has come to hate the nuby ones recently as well (leakage).

We use the thermos fugo for outings.

DS has been increasingly drinking out of regular cups so I may just give up the battle at this point.

Another vote for Zoli straw cups. We have two, and I guess I've been lucky because we haven't had any leaking issues. They have a weighted straw, so it's easier for them to get all of the liquid out!

Zoli cups. They are leaky and hard to clean. But they are the best. The leak issues can be prevented if you are very careful in how you put the lid on. The straw cleaning issue are simply fixed by buying their special straw cleaner tool.
