I travelled with a Bugaboo Cameleon (which, like the City Select, is a 2 piece fold) and it was a nightmare. I also own a CitySelect and as much as I like it for getting around, there is NO WAY I would want to deal with getting that thing through airport security and gate checked on an airplane, particularly taking both seats.

I just traveled with two kids and a stroller. I checked the stroller and the infant seat. Took the toddlers car seat on a dolly (I needed it on the plane). I wore the baby and could either push lo1 in the car seat or he could "help me push". Mostly I just gave him the iPad and stuck him in the seat.... Kind people helped me on and off the plane. Also lo1 got motion sick when we landed and threw up.

I traveled with just the baby and wish I'd gate checked the stroller and bucket seat, it was a pain to fold it all up to gate check it.

I can't speak to the logistics of these particular strollers, but I'll tell you that we love having our "pack mule" stroller for traveling, especially now that we have two. We have a bob, and so far we have put the car seat adapter in, clicked the baby and her seat into that, and had the 3 year old sit in the foot rest area. Then we put one carry on under the stroller, one on each of our backs, and my husband carries the convertible seat.

I dread the day we have to travel with two convertibles.

I'm not sure if this would work but I saw a mom last summer use the city select with a seat only on the very front spot- the double spot basically. She was able to fit a full sized cooler and two big lands end totes in the space where the main seat was. I wonder if you could do just that front seat and somehow puzzle your car seats in that big space then. You could definitely fit a ton of luggage in that space.

@Mrs. J: D will use a cares harness. I think we'll skycap the luggage and his carseat. But L will need her carseat on the plane.

@KayKay: That's a good point about the g-lite not reclining. It's new and hasn't been used yet and I forgot about that. DS never needed the recline in order to sleep, but the baby might.

You guys might be right about the b-agile. It does have connectors for the bucket seat, or we can leave the bucket in the car and switch off with her being worn and DS using the stroller. Or we can rent a cheap stroller at the zoo, which is my biggest concern in terms of DS needing a stroller. Plus the it's our oldest stroller and if it gets banged around during gate check, I'm not going to be super upset. Versus if something happened to our City Select.

Will D use his car seat on the plane? We are going to California in February for a week, and J will use his seat on the plane. So we plan on checking L's seat (lap infant) and he will ride in an umbrella stroller, and I bought the Britax car seat travel cart thing to turn J's seat into a stroller for the airport. If we go anywhere, he will walk or L can go in the ergo.

We have a backpack car seat bag for L's seat.

I am leaning towards the B Agile for you!!

I'd probably do the B-agile, assuming that your younger one is still in an infant bucket and that it will attach to that? For carseats, I would definitely check the convertible one (preferably in a bag, since then you can sneak some diapers or other stuff in too!), and possibly the infant one, although that would be easy to gate check with the stroller. Just depends on your luggage logistics -- we always try to check as much as we can (in as few bags as possible!)

I don't think I'd deal with the double, since it's big and heavy and expensive if it gets damaged. If you need, you could always wear your younger one and have the older one in the seat.

I also wouldn't do the g-lite because that doesn't recline, right? So it'd be tough for the kid(s) to nap on the go with it. Plus you can't load it down with stuff and the infant bucket wouldn't attach to it.

We're taking a 10 day vacation to Florida in March and I'm trying to figure out which stroller we should take and how to get everything through the airport. This will be the first time we've travelled with both kids and they'll be 3.5ish and 7 months.

Options are:
- City Select with 1 or 2 Seats (though we'd probably take both if we choose this one
- B-agile
- UB G-Lite

We are doing a few things like the zoo and the aquarium where a double stroller might helpful, but we definitely don't need it every day. If we take the City Select, I can't quite conceptualize how we'll handle the stroller getting on and off the plane. In the past we gate checked our b-agile, which is pretty small.

If we take the smallest stroller then we lose our pack mule ability that we have with the CS. In the past we've used the stroller to carry the carseat and I wore DS. Now we'll have 2 carseats and I have no idea how to do this. These logistics are killing me.

So how do you travel with 2 kids and strollers and luggage? And is it worth it to bring a double just for 2-3 days of a 10 day trip? (We'd use it in single mode though most of the rest of the days)
