I'm very pale skinned, and burn easily. I also live in florida, so being in the sun is a regular occasion. If I'm going to be in the midday sun or in full sun for more than an hour, I use chemical sunscreen. As much as I want to use mineral on myself, I find I am more apt to use the chemical ones because I need quite a lot and I need to be able to get it on fast and effectively. I just can't do it with the traditional mineral ones and I am not sold on the clear mineral formulations. I still like it just felt like when I put it on my arms it was hard to get not white. For Lo I use either blue lizard or the Babyganics. I started using mostly mineral sunscreens a couple years ago when I realized I was having a reaction to the chemical ones. The Babyganics rubs in fairly easily and doesn't leave me feeling sticky, and is less expensive than a lot. I know some people don't like it because of questionable ingredients. But if I used that on myself, we'd practically go through a tube a day - not really feasible at $17/bottle. So I'm still using my trusty old Coppertone. I'd love to try something a little more "natural" for myself, especially if we TTC this summer, but I'm a little hesitant to switch because I know the Coppertone works. (I'm very pale and had melanoma, so that part is very important!) Anyone have a more natural adult sunscreen you would recommend?
